We See Strong Cross-Selling Potential Through Integrated Material Solutions – Aparna Reddy in Architecture Update
Aparna Reddy, Executive Director, Aparna Enterprises Limited (AEL), was featured in the ‘In Conversation’ section of the August–September 2026 issue of Architecture Update, in an interview with Prasenjit Chakraborty. The discussion covered the product categories expected to drive AEL’s next phase of growth, how the company is adapting to changing construction needs, cross-selling across its businesses, and its priorities for the next five years.
Speaking on growth drivers, she identified three areas: bathroom and kitchen surfaces, as more people renovate and look for materials that are easy to clean and can handle moisture; facades and outdoor flooring, as apartments, plotted layouts and commercial spaces create demand for tiles and panels that withstand sun and rain; and specialised, value-added products such as anti-skid tiles, large-format slabs, uPVC windows and doors, and ready-mix concrete, which reduce on-site labour and help projects move faster.
On how AEL is responding, she said, “Construction today isn’t just about building faster, it’s also about building in a way that lasts longer, uses less resources, and causes fewer problems on site.” She explained that customers increasingly want products that work together as a system, materials that are easier to maintain, and processes that reduce waste and time, and that the company’s manufacturing focus has shifted towards consistency, quality control, lower material wastage and processes that consume less water and energy.
On cross-selling, she said, “We see strong cross selling potential because most large residential and commercial projects today prefer working with fewer, reliable partners who can deliver multiple materials with consistent quality.” With a presence across ready-mix concrete, tiles, uPVC windows and doors, facades and luxury interiors, she noted that AEL is able to offer developers an integrated package that simplifies procurement.
Looking ahead, she cited volatile input costs, tighter compliance requirements and more intense competition as the key challenges for the industry. AEL is preparing by strengthening backward integration, investing in more efficient and automated manufacturing, and building a supply chain that can respond quickly to market fluctuations.
On the next five years, she said, “As we move beyond the INR 2,000 crore milestone, our focus is on building a stronger, more future ready organisation.” Her priorities include deepening AEL’s presence in core categories, expanding manufacturing capacity in segments such as aluminium windows and door systems, and widening the company’s geographic footprint across India. She also referred to the company’s new factory in Morbi, Gujarat, which strengthens its tile presence across northern markets.
